Alan has been a member of the Whetstone Drama Group since 2008. At the age of 61, he had never acted since his school days. He soon felt confident to take on larger roles and he remembers his first performance in " A murder has been arranged. " Having played many various roles, he prefers the loud mouth villainous characters. This may be due to the fact he met many of these in real life when he was a police officer. Alan is also a participant in the Murder Mysteries that are regularly performed in the local communities supporting charities.
